ShieldAg Strip Till: ST-PO Replaceable Point System

Outperforming standard welded knives that are worn out at 13% weight loss

  • Change worn points in minutes, without having to unhook hoses or remove & replace mounting bolts

  • Original knife shank can stay on the machine through 4-6 point replacement cycles

  • Long-Lasting Durability: Engineered for longevity, our ST-PO points can withstand a 30% weight reduction before needing replacement, outperforming standard welded knives that wear at 13% weight loss.

  • Enhanced Efficiency: Proven to work like new for hundreds of acres per point, to maximize field time and minimize replacement frequency, ensuring your operation keeps moving smoothly.

  • Optimal Soil Penetration: With the capability to maintain consistent depth and speed across different soil types, the ST-PO point guarantees precise soil management and improved crop yield potential.

  • Nutrient Delivery Optimized:  This strip till system is designed to provide the optimum combination of soil fracture and lift, while preparing the soil profile for delivery of multiple products at the right depths, and creating a great berm.

"Even after 3120 acres, the ST-PO points keep making a great berm until they're just about shot. They last, and that's what counts."
- Rice County, Kansas Farmer

Typical Performance Details:

  • Weight Comparison: New points weigh 4.2 lbs, with worn points at 2.95 lbs after extensive field use.

  • Acreage Capability: In this case, in a sandy loam environment the farmer achieved 130 acres per point on a 24-row machine.  Depending on soil type, moisture content, and ground speed, expect up to 200--225 acres per point.

  • Machine Compatibility: Perfectly suited for high-power machinery, this example was on a toolbar pulled by a 684 HP Quad Trac performing at depths of 12 inches.

  • Speed and Soil Adaptability: Achieves 5.2 mph in black dirt and up to 6.8 mph in sandy soil without compromising performance.

Sustainability Advantage: Our replaceable point system not only extends the life of the shanks but also supports sustainable farming practices by reducing waste and the frequency of replacements.
